Golf to Begin in 2011

The first-ever State Golf Tournament will be held at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago. The tournament will be a one day event and will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011. There will be one individual tournament for the boys and one individual tournament for the girls. Both the girls and boys division will each golf one 18 hole round of golf for the competition. There will be no separate divisions for 7th or 8th grade competition. There will be no levels of competition below the state tournament. Member schools will be allowed to enter up to (5) boys and (5) girls in the state tournament. The field will be limited to the first 96 boys who are registered by their school and the first 96 girls who are registered by their school. The tournament will be cancelled if there are not at least 18 girls registered for the girls division and 18 boys registered for the boys division by the final entry deadline. The entry fee will be $40 per participant. The entry fee does include the green fee and range balls for each participant.
