IESA Seeking Applicants for Assistant Executive Director Position
The Illinois Elementary School Association announces plans to appoint an Assistant Executive Director position to its administrative staff. The position will fill an administrative vacancy.
This will be a full-time administrative position. General responsibilities will include the administration of IESA State Tournament Series in assigned activities along with other administrative duties in the general operations of the Association. The following information should be considered:
- The title of the position shall be Assistant Executive Director.

- The following shall be required qualifications of all candidates:
- Bachelor's Degree;
- Experience as administrator, athletic director, teacher, coach, game official or other related experience;
- Well-developed communication, administrative, and organizational skills;
- Willingness to travel--mainly within Illinois and some national travel;
- Valid Illinois driver's license;
- Computer proficiency
- The following shall be recommended qualifications of all candidates:
- General knowledge of Association by-laws, rules, and policies
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Principle Responsibilities of Position
- Organize and direct specific assigned athletic / activity programs
- Evaluate athletic / activity programs in relation to the Mission of the Association
- Constitution and By-laws Interpretations
- Communication with school personnel, officials, general public and media
- Correspondence
- Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors or the Executive Director
- The candidate selected shall start July 5, 2022.
